Welcome to Reel Reset, an iOS app developed by Apgar Games Ltd. that helps you be more intentional with your phone use. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Reel Reset. By accessing or using the app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

When you set up Reel Reset, we collect the name you choose to provide (such as a display name or first name). We do not collect your full legal name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details unless you voluntarily provide them when contacting us for support.

All in-app purchases or subscriptions (if applicable) are processed securely by Apple. We do not store or have access to any payment information.

b. Account & App Data

We collect the following information to manage your account and personalise your experience:

• User information: As provided by you during setup.
• App usage data: We collect usage data for how you interact with our app, including the resets you select and the outcome.
• Time saved (if applicable): If a Reset results in you choosing not to open a blocked app, we may collect an anonymised figure representing the time potentially saved. This figure contains no information about which specific app was involved and is used solely to help you track progress and to help us improve the app.

A note on app-specific data: In accordance with Apple's Family Controls framework guidelines, we do not collect, store, or transmit data identifying which specific apps you have chosen to block, nor any detailed usage data relating to those apps.

c. Location Data

Approximate Location: We may collect coarse location data to understand where our app is being used and to assess its international reach. This data is not precise and cannot be used to identify your exact location.

d. Error & Diagnostic Data

We collect crash reports and error logs to improve app stability and performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Account personalisation: Using the name you provide to tailor your in-app experience.
• Progress tracking: Recording your Reset history and outcomes to give you meaningful insight into your phone habits over time.
• Improving the app: Using anonymised usage and outcome data to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
• Onboarding and app improvement: Using screen-visit data to identify and remove friction from the setup and app experience.
• Analytics: Understanding the broad geographical distribution of our users to evaluate international reach.
• Communication: Sending push notifications about updates, new features, or helpful tips. You can opt out of these at any time in your device settings.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

a. Third-Party Service Providers

We use Supabase for cloud database storage and backend services. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is contractually required to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection law. We may additionally use other secure third-party service providers for analytics and data processing solely to support app functionality and product improvement. All such providers may only process your data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.

b. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate measures to protect your data:

• Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols.
• Access controls: Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel and authenticated systems on a need-to-know basis.
• Server-side security: We rely on Supabase's industry-standard security protocols for all server-side data protection.

6. Your Rights

Access and Correction

You may request access to or correction of your personal data by contacting us at the address in Section 12 below. Where possible, you may also update your name directly within the app settings.

Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us with sufficient information for us to identify and verify your account. We will process such requests promptly.

Opt-Out Options

• Push notifications: Manage these in your iOS device settings.
• Location data: You can disable location services for Reel Reset in your iOS device settings.
• Family Controls permissions: You can manage or revoke Reel Reset's Family Controls permissions directly in your iOS settings. Please note that doing so will disable the core functionality of the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is rated 9+ on the App Store and is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

8. International Users

We offer our app in multiple countries and comply with relevant data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union.

9. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Reset outcomes are recorded as neutral data points and are never used to restrict or penalise your access to the app.

We retain your data for as long as you use the app and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for account recovery. Upon your request for deletion, we will promptly remove your personal data from our servers.
